I think that the spookiness has always appealed to me because it's uncommon and different. Everyone loves a good chilling ghost story, and people are quite fascinated by the unknown. For me, the whole lead up to Halloween is what I love the most. From the nightly scary movies, decorations, and the overall spirit in the air, it all makes for an enticing holiday.

Haunted houses, hayrides and parties, oh my! It’s almost time for Halloween in Second Life! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's Halloween costumes on the fashion feeds!

Get ready for your witch hats to be blown off, people! A new round of Collabor88 is here! In preparation for the fast approach of Halloween, the theme for this month is called "Black Magic". From clothes, to poses to house decor, you will find everything you need to get you ready for Halloween!

For this month's event, Marisa has released ""D!va"" Hair "Ana". I've lost count of how many various styles you can have with this hair! Be it an important business appointment, a romantic dinner or a halloween night party—this hair is suited for all occasions!

Inspired by the alluring flirtatiousness of the feminine hair power of the 60s, this granddaughter of a beehive still has the charm and appeal of its predecessor but has been altered to a more subtle bump with a loose fringe and a modern, less stiff styling. Twisted strands of hair are draped from front to back where both sides meet and are rolled into a thick updo. The sides are pulled back towards the nape in a cleanly-defined twist to form a chignon, which draws the eye to the nape of the neck and is goes perfectly with low-back dresses.

(TYPE A) features the fringe being lifted and teased to form a subtle side poof whereas (TYPE B) features a side-parted fringe that partially veil the face. Textured bangs blend effortlessly while maximizing the beauty of the hairstyle.

It's time to bring out the sweaters and scarves! I couldn't be more excited! Step aside summer cause fall is here!

Remember when I said I can't wait to get back to school? Yeah, well I take that back. The amount of work I'm getting is ridiculous... It's a miracle I'm still alive! Thank God for coffee, right? Oh well, I'd rather have Fall than Summer. Tell me something, am I the only one that thinks fall has better fashion than summer?! Ditch the shorts, the flowy dresses, and please, please get rid of the flip-flops! It's time to closet those outfits and bring out the real flare - jackets, boots, sweaters and scarves! I love layering Autumn clothes and I just love the warm earth colours.. but that's not the only reason why I prefer fall!

I hate, hatehatehatehaaate bugs so much. They sting, they bite, they burn, they fly in your face, come in your house and get all up in yo grill on bike rides and ruin camping trips. The worst thing is that they never die no matter how much bug spray I use! Well, do you know what kills them even better than bug spray? The fall.

Oh, and another thing to look forward to! Grey's Anatomy and Vampire Diaries (don't judge me!) airing again soon. That's another bad thing about summer, nothing is ever on TV! I mean, the same episode, AGAIN?! Let's play a game called "how many times can I watch the same episode before I die of boredom". Seriously, it's like some kind of twisted joke!

Okay okay, I better stop now before this turns into a 99 reasons why I love Fall list. Aah, there have been so many events going on this month! From the Arcade to Collabor88 to the Seasons Story.. I feel so spoilt!

The September round of the Arcade has sadly come to an end. Arcade is by far one of my favourite events in Second Life. Great way of going bankrupt on Second Life! Is it sad that I'm already crossing off the days until the next Arcade round?

The Seasons Story event ends on the 10th of October so you should probably drop by one last time to make sure you have everything you need! Better safe than sorry, right? It's the first round and it's already one of my favourite events, haha! From fashion to decor, this round caters to everyone who, like moi, has a soft spot for autumn! For The Seasons Story, Marisa released ""D!VA"" Hair "Kalli2", a cute, chic shoulder-length hairstyle that is loosely braided into a plait. It also comes with an accessory containing vine and fruits entwined around the forehead.

 

Collabor88 will be closing tomorrow to prepare for its next round so if you haven't been there already... Run! I'm absolutely inlove with all of the fall items! For Collabor88, Marisa released ""D!VA"" Hair "Tina", a shoulder-length style with bouncy curls that entangle the senses with a fresh and lively attitude. ""D!va"" for September Arcade and The Seasons Event

It's time to put those floral dresses away and time to whip out those neglected dusty sweaters that have been hiding in your closet! It's official! Fall is here! Okay well not really but it just is okay! You can't say no to autumn, especially with all these beautiful clothes being released!

Just a friendly reminder that the September round of the Arcade opened up a week ago and that D!va was invited to participate! For the event, D!va released ""D!va"" Hair "Giz", a sophisticated updo that is complete with a fringe and a bouquet of tightly packed bun of curls. More juicy details about the event and the hair here! If you haven't got in yet not to worry! There's practically still two full weeks (closes on the 30th of September) left so you'll have plenty of time!

I come bearing great news... again! D!va has also been invited to participate in The Seasons Story, a brand new event that has just opened its doors a few days ago for the very first time! This event focuses on the four seasons of the year. There are lots of fantastic autumn designs to get you ready for fall! It's just really worth checking out so I will post the SLURL below!

For The Seasons Story, Marisa released ""D!VA"" Hair "Kalli2". Braids have been the rage for a while now. The side braid is a cute style of braiding that is loosely tied into a messy but chic plait that goes over the shoulder. Roughed up texture adds edge to the over-the-shoulder side braid. This hair is complete with a vine that wraps itself around the forehead which is delicately decorated with ripe fruits. The vine contains 5 colours, the fruits containing 4. There is also a visibility option for fruits and vines.

Still feel that your autumn wardrobe is looking a little empty? Not to fear! By the time you get to Collabor88, with its new September round "Fall into Fall", I'm sure you'll be overloaded with cute autumn outfits!

For this months Collabor88, Marisa released ""D!VA"" Hair "Tina". Happiness comes in a curl. Or in hundreds. This medium swirly curly hair will put an extra bounce in your step. This hairstyle features a set of woolly curls that cascade down each side of the face. It’s a look that is both energetic and lively. The widest section of the hair is at the ear level and all of that bounce and lustrous volume comes all by itself with the curls that are the most intense in the tips.

(TYPE A) contains a fringe that curves its flattering way across the forehead in a deep plunge whereas (TYPE B) consists of  a deep middle part and with the top hair pulled slightly back the face is more open and frames the face beautifully.

Eek! I'm super duper excited, I have such big news for you all today! D!va has been invited to the September round of the Arcade! For those of you who don't know what it is, the Arcade is a bimonthly gacha event which features over 80 of Second Life's most gifted and talented designers and builders. To find out more about the Arcade, visit their website.

For the Arcade, Marisa has released   ""D!va"" Hair "Giz". Chic elegance and pure glamour -flirtatiousness is all the rage with this up-style. (TYPE A) is a sophisticated updo where the fringe is lifted and teased to form a subtle side poof. The hair is loosely tied up at the back into a bundle of small playful curls of hair which to me resembles a bouquet of flowers!

(TYPE B) has a softly swept fringe which is tucked behind the ear. This hair also comes with cute small ribbons which are delicately placed amongst the luscious bun of curls. There are 17 ribbon colours to choose from and also has an on-and-off option.

(TYPE A) is available in 12 colours and whilst rare hair (TYPE B) is also available in 12 colours, they are grouped in packs of 3. There is a grand total of 4 rare packs. Rare 1 includes the hair colours Platinum, Moon Stone and Cats Eye. Rare 2 includes Rhodalite, Topaz and Amber. Rare 3 includes Black Amber,  Red Amber  and Citrine. The end is near!! But not to fear! There's still a week or two left so enjoy them while you can! I'm (surprinsingly) kind of excited to be going back to school. Don't get me wrong, I love summer but there's only so much you can do during a 3 month break until you get bored. You kinda start to miss having a daily routine, y'know?

If you haven't been to this month's Collabor88 event I suggest you do so now! Can you believe that it has been 2 years since Collabor88 launched? To mark the special occasion, there are two themes, Razzle (and) Dazzle. C88 is also holding a larger event with many more amazing designers! It took me a while to get into the sim (give or take a 100 tries) but I was finally able to get in and I have to say the collection is amazing! I wasn't really into 1920's fashion in SL before, but I sure am now!

Collabor88 is by far the best event I've ever come across on SL. I'm always so eager to see all the new creations which are stemmed from just a single theme. It's just fascinating to see how different people interpret the monthly C88 themes into their work!

This month's D!va release is a vintage-styled hair called "Layla". ""D!va"" Hair "Layla" is a chin length hairstyle complete with playful curls. (TYPE A) is set with a subtle side sweep of the hair whereas (TYPE B) is set with a full blunt fringe. The flowers and headband are both removable and texture changeable. Good day D!vas! How are we all today?

I can't believe it's August already! Summer's nearly over... Blergh. I’m not sure I’m quite ready for it to be over yet! :(

As some of you may already know, today marks a big round for Collabor88, its second birthday! Yeah, I know, can you imagine?! It barely even feels like a year! To celebrate, C88 is hosting a huge round with many fantastic, talented designers! There are also two themes, Razzle (and) Dazzle!

For the event, Marisa has released a hair called ""D!va"" Hair "Layla", a vintage-inspired look. It's a chin-length bob complete with full, satiny curls. You can choose between either a sweep of the hair across the forehead or a fringe. When set with the playful curls that frame the face, this gives the whole look a very feminine, sultrious quality. There is also a (colour changeable) hair flower to style and accentuate the hair by adding to the side of your head just above the ear.

There are 9 rose colours to choose from, as well as a hairband and rose accessory visibility option. This hair  is a COPY/MOD OK, NO TRANSFER and is also resizable via the pop-up menu.

Hey hey D!vas!

I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday! I know I am! I really haven't done much this summer, but still, this was a long needed break I was looking forward to all year (since September last year, to be exact).

Have any of you gone/plans go anywhere? Some of my friends have gone on holidays to the most tropical locations that I could only ever dream of going. I sure am enjoying the nice views of blissful beaches, swaying palm trees and playful dolphins... from the postcards that my friend is sending me from the Seychelles!

Are you all as excited about the Hair Fair 2013 as I am? I know it’s feel like yesterday that we busted our LD to the event last year. Yet, another round of Hair Fair is opening. Time really do fly!

For this year’s Hair Fair, D!va introduces three new hair styles, “Mana,” “Lana”, and “Clea.”

 “Mana” and “Lana”  are hybrid of prim and mesh and both have a cool feature that you can show or hide the bun by using the control panel.

Both hair styles have an add-on mesh part and you can enjoy completely different look by hiding the bun and wearing the mesh part.
All the other familiar features are included. You can change the color of the  ribbon and headband; show or hide the accesories; resize for the prim part.

“Clea” is  a wild and sexy down style made of 100% rigged mesh and coming with head alpha and hairbase.  Please please try on Demo first because the mesh part is non-modifiable!

I know, these are super cute and the kind of hairstyles which you can keep on wearing again and again. I can totally picture myself wearing my fav jeans and cami with “Mana” or “Lana” without ribbon, spending one of those stay-at-home / skybox - and - laid-back -day (a.k.a lazy day).  Or, wearing “Clea” with intimate pieces to spend some quality time with my special someone ♥

""D!va"" for July Collabor88

Hey sun worshippers! Grab your bikini, surfboard and sunscreen (oh and don't forget your mosquito repellents!) because it's time to hit the beaches and soak up the warmth!

It finally feels like summer, despite the fact we're already halfway through the summer holidays. Summers hit hard here. Like hard. Like really hard. Like really really hard. Okay, well not that hard. Like 35°C/9°F hard. Yeah, I know I'm not really used to the summer weather but hey, I come from a land of a thousand welcomes where windy weather and rain is pretty much expected everyday.

A new round of Collabor88 has begun with it's theme being "Midsummer". Marisa Kira has released a new hair called "Ange", and this isn't just any hair, it's part rigged mesh! Yup, you heard correctly! The lower part of the hair is rigged mesh whilst the upper part of the hair is sculpted prims. Half up, half down, this elegant hairstyle for long hair is perfect to keep your look in place in an exquisite way with flowery headband.

Mesh parts (A) and (B) are long, lustrous loosely twisted curls cascade down past the face and nearly down to the hips. You can choose to have a side ponytail by wearing just (A) OR (B) or you can choose to wear both!

You can go for a more simpler yet elegant look by removing mesh parts (A) and (B) which leaves you with a very classic, gibson roll updo with side parted bangs falling loosely onto your face with a few hair tendrils to really frame your face.
